I started teaching here at Prada Elem. in August 2019, and I am teaching Language Foundations and Take Flight in Dyslexia Classes. I am a Certified Language Therapist (CALT)

I started teaching in 1994 in Zapata ISD where I taught Kinder for 2 yrs. Then I moved here to Laredo and taught 2^nd & 3^rd grade at Perez Elem for 4 yrs. Next I moved to Roosevelt Elem. where I taught 1 yr in Kinder and 5 yrs in 2^nd grade. Next I moved to Laredo ISD, and I was Reading Interventionist at Heights Elem. for 5 yrs and also taught 1^st for 3 yrs. Then I moved to Farias Elem. where I taught 1^st for 1 yr. and was Class size reduction for 2 yrs. Now I am a Dyslexia Teacher here at Prada Elem.

I am married to Jose F. Garcia.

I have two kids: Juana Iris Barrera 36 and Luis Garcia 24. I also have a grandchild: Larry Cole 14.

Larry goes to Alexander High School 9^th Grade Campus.
