New Policy Alert: HB 1481 Now in Effect!

Beginning the first day of school, United ISD will implement House Bill 1481, a new state law limiting student device use during the school day.

Effective from first bell to last bell (instructional day)

Applies to all students Pre-K through 12th grade

Devices must be turned off and stored in backpacks

Let’s all disconnect to reconnect with learning! Help us spread the word and support student focus and engagement.

No cell phones, smart watches, headphones, or personal communication devices allowed during the instructional day.

Applies in classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and all common areas.
