Mission Statement
Guidance and Counseling Department’s Mission is to implement a comprehensive school counseling program to promote student success through academic achievement, promote prevention and intervention activities to provide a safe and nurturing environment, provide social/emotional and career development, and increase students’ admittance and success in institutions of higher learning.

Test Taking Strategies
1. Be prepared.
2. Always arrive early and take a moment to relax.
3. Listen attentively to last-minute instructions given by the instructor.
4. Write down the information you might need.
5. Read the test directions very carefully and watch for details.
6. Plan how you will use the allotted time.
7. Look for cues.
8. Answer all the questions.
9. Maintain a positive attitude.
10. Relay on your first impressions.
11. Plan to finish early and have time to review.
12. Consider every test a practice session- analyze your performance.
